Dalí Prints & Other Multiples
We always start the evaluation process of Dalí prints and multiples with a telephone consultation. If, after the telephone consultation, you need a written report, the fee for the consultation will be applied to the report.
Please print out the pdf Service Request Form, providing as much information as possible. Send it, with photographs of the artwork and photocopies of any accompanying documentation, along with your payment. The photos must be prints. We cannot accept electronic images. Sorry, no exceptions.
Photos we will need:
1. Full close-up photo or color computer printout of the artwork (it does not need to be removed from the frame)
2. A close-up of the signature
3. Any other markings on the front
4. Photo or photocopy of any writing or documentation for the artwork
We also request payment when you submit the application. You may send a check or fill out the credit card information on the Service Request Form. New Mexico residents please add tax of 7.9375%
The Telephone Consultation Fee is $150 per print or suite of prints.
If you later request a written report, the fee will be $350 for a print and $500 for a suite of prints. The $150 already paid will be applied to the written report fee.
Our in-office consultation on a Dalí print is $200.
Dalí Original Works
For original works by Dalí – drawings, paintings or other unique Dalí work - please send photos and any information you may have and we will give a fee bid and instructions for proceeding.
For Works by Other Artists
Due to the time constraints of working on the "Artful Dodgers", we accept limited assignments for examination of artwork by other artists. Please call us to discuss your request. We will need photos of the work(s) in question. We will then consider whether we can do the evaluation and will contact you with a fee bid.
Most original works must be examined in person by Mr. Ewell, either by your bringing the artwork to our office in Santa Fe or by shipping your artwork to an art warehouse in Santa Fe for our examination. (For information about contacting the art warehouse click here.)
In-Office Consultation for Non-Dalí Artwork
(only for works of lesser value)
It is possible to schedule an in-office consultation. You may bring your artwork into our office for examination. Please call to schedule an appointment. The fee for an in-office consultation is a minimum of $75. There is no written report generated with this service. However, the regular report fees apply if a written report is requested.
